Vikram Shakkottai, MD, PhD

Vikram Shakkottai, MD, PhD obtained his medical degree at the Christian Medical College, Vellore, India, and his PhD at the University of California, Irvine. He received neurology residency training at Washington University/Barnes-Jewish hospital, and a fellowship in movement disorders at the University of Michigan. He is currently Associate Professor of Neurology, Molecular and Integrative Physiology at the University of Michigan. He is also the director of the Ataxia clinic, and the Associate Chair for Research for the Department of Neurology at the University of Michigan. He is the current co-director of the Clinical Research Consortium for the study of Cerebellar Ataxia.
