Dr. Tim Yu is a neurologist and researcher at Boston Children’s Hospital. He completed his MD and PhD at UC San Francisco and neurology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital, and is currently an Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School and Associate Member of the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. His research group in the Division of Genetics and Genomics works at the intersection of genetics, neurobiology, and bioinformatics to understand the basis for brain disease and advance genomic medicine. Current projects range from computational genomic analyses of large autism cohorts to identify disease genes, to investigations of genome sequencing for newborn screening and neonatal ICU care, to the development of platform approaches for individualized therapy of rare neurogenetic diseases.
