Dr. Kumar is an Associate Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School. His broad aim is to develop coherent management strategies for stroke care encompassing different phases of stroke recovery. Stroke related dysphagia is one of his specific interests. He recently led an early phase-2 clinical trial sponsored by the NIH on post-stroke dysphagia. Another interest of his is in leveraging simple, scalable solutions to improve healthcare delivery in stroke survivors. He also serves as an Associate Faculty at Ariadne Labs, a joint health system innovation center where he collaborates with a multidisciplinary team of researchers to improve healthcare systems.
