Ravi Chopra, MD, PhD is a first-year resident with the Washington University/Barnes-Jewish Hospital Adult Neurology Residency Program. He completed his MD, PhD at the University of Michigan, where he studied ion channel dysfunction in Spinocerebellar ataxia type 1 under the mentorship of Dr. Vikram Shakkottai. Currently, his research interests bridge the intersection between cell type-specific gene expression networks, ion channel dysfunction, and selective neuronal vulnerability in neurodegenerative disease.
