Dr. Lawrence Hirsch is Professor of Neurology, Chief of Epilepsy and EEG, and Co-Director of the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center at Yale University. He is the founder and former chair of the Critical Care EEG Monitoring Research Consortium, co-author of the Atlas of EEG in Critical Care, co-chair of the medical advisory board of the NORSE Institute, and first author of the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society’s guideline on critical care EEG nomenclature. He has won multiple teaching awards. His interests include critical care epilepsy/EEG, status epilepticus, nonconvulsive seizures, brain stimulation for epilepsy treatment, intracranial EEG, SUDEP, seizure clusters and epilepsy surgery
