Krutika Joshi, PhD

Krutika Joshi attained her PhD in Pharmacology & Toxicology from the University of Toronto in 2018. She worked in the lab of Dr O.Carter Snead, who specializes in the study of Infantile Spasms, a pediatric seizure disorder. She is now a post-doctoral fellow in the Vanderhorst Lab at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School. Her current interests are in studying the role of cholinergic neurons in modulating upper airway muscle tone during sleep using chemogenetic and optogenetic approaches, integrated with EMG, EEG and respiratory recordings. In her spare time, she likes to walk with her very active puppy.
