Joshua Shulman, MD, PhD

Joshua M. Shulman received his A.B. in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard College, and Ph.D. in Genetics from Cambridge University. Subsequently, he obtained his M.D. at Harvard Medical School and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and completed neurology residency at Brigham & Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. Since 2012, Dr. Shulman has been at Baylor College of Medicine and the Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute at Texas Children’s Hospital. His research explores genomic mechanisms of Alzheimer's and Parkinson’s disease, integrating studies of human subjects with animal models. He remains clinically active, caring for patients with Parkinson's disease.
