Craig Blackstone, MD, PhD

Craig Blackstone is Senior Investigator in the NINDS Neurogenetics Branch and was long-time Director of the NIH MD-PhD Partnership Training Program.  He received BS/MS degrees from the University of Chicago and MD/PhD degrees from Johns Hopkins.  After neurology residency in the Harvard-Longwood Neurology Program, he pursued clinical movement disorders training at Massachusetts General Hospital and postdoctoral research with Morgan Sheng at Harvard Medical School/HHMI.  In 2001, Dr. Blackstone joined NINDS, where he oversees a neurogenetics program focused on cellular mechanisms underlying inherited neurological disorders.  He has chaired several ANA committees and served on the Executive Council and as Vice President.
