Barbara Slusher is Professor of Neurology at Johns Hopkins and Director of Johns Hopkins Drug Discovery(https://drugdiscovery.jhu.edu/). She has published over 200 articles and is the inventor on over 100 patents. Before joining Hopkins, she spent 18 years in the pharmaceutical industry involved in the development and/or post marketing support of several FDA-approved medicines. At Hopkins she leads the largest drug discovery program on campus with a veteran team of 20 chemists, assay developers, pharmacologist/toxicologists, and pharmacokinetic experts. She co-founded four start-up companies amassing over $150M in funding. She also founded the International Consortium of Academic Drug Discovery centers(www.addconsortium.org).
