Archana Podury, BA
Harvard Medical School
Archana Podury is a medical student in the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences & Technology Program. She received a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Cornell University. At Cornell, she worked with Dr. Jesse Goldberg to study neural circuits underlying motor learning. She is currently developing human brain organoid models at the Boyden Lab in MIT to characterize circuit dysfunction in disease. Concurrently, she is working with Dr. Amar Dhand at Brigham and Women’s Hospital to understand how patients’ social environments influence recovery following acute neurological injury. She hopes focusing on both neural and social networks can improve treatments for neurological disease.
