As Director of the Global Neurology Program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Associate Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School, and Health and Policy Advisor to Partners In Health, Dr. Berkowitz’s humanitarian work has extended from Haiti to Malawi to the Navajo reservation to Boston's homeless. In addition to over 60 articles, he has written a textbook (Clinical Neurology and Neuroanatomy: A Localization-based Approach (McGraw-Hill)) and chapters in Samuels Manual of Neurologic Therapeutics and the Oxford Handbook of Humanitarian Medicine. He received the 2018 Mridha Spirit of Neurology Humanitarian Award from the American Academy of Neurology and American Brain Foundation.
